Students take up Social Work to Raise their Voice

The students of Faculty of Architecture G.B.T.U Lucknow, the only government established , prestigious institute of the Uttar Pradesh state are facing the grave situation of being unregistered by the Council of Architecture , which renders the students to be non-eligible for any professional use of the education , which they toil hard and receive in 5 years. The point becomes all the more valid since we were not informed by the authorities about the situation prior to admission.

For the same notion the students have been striving for their cause  since past 9 days , have boycotted the classes, they have protested as a procession and “dharna” on 22nd September 2011 have been contacting every official and authority, but in vain and no response.
   The question is :-
Should the students, not at fault, suffer for the carelessness on part of the authorities?
Should the students be deprived of their of their right?
Shouldn’t the authorities be questioned and alleged  for the same instead of depriving the students of their right?
Who is at fault, the poor students or the authorities ?

"
Since the students have done their best to raise their voice for the same but received no results, they took a further step by taking up a social task to raise their voice to the authorities and the people . The students took up the task as responsible citizens and paying duty to their city as budding youth and architects, students cleaned up the zone (roads and footpaths) from Vidhan Sabha to Hazratganj today i.e. on 29th September 2011 with full vigour. The Campaign lasted for 4 hours starting from 9:30 am and ending at 1:30 pm in the afternoon. During this time many people became curious and asked about our cause. Many of them were very positive and showed their support by signing our memorandum of Appeal (more than 100, adding to an already existing 500 supporters list) and assured to help us in any possible way. Many came forward with water bottles to quench the thirst of students who were busy cleaning. It was a mass phenomenon and everyone seemed to be supporting us for our cause."
  •       This was a very commendable experience for all the students and we will continue our movement to raise our voice through social causes.
  •       We again appeal to all the citizens to kindly support us in reaching our voices to the higher authorities.
  •       We would again state that our motto is Council of Architecture registration, and the movement that has been initiated shall not rest until we avail “concrete” results.
